Proud owners of a Mumbles B&BWe moved to Mumbles in March 2014, taking over from the previous owners – surf legend Paul Gill and his wife Sarah. We then spent almost nine months refurbishing the building from top to bottom alongside interior designer Tamsin Leech-Griffiths to create the boutique, family-friendly space you see today.

Carwyn grew up just north of Swansea in rural Carmarthenshire. He joined the British Army in 2005 and served for seven years including tours in Afghanistan and the Falkland Islands. He paused his military career to tackle a Masters degree in Emergency Response and Disaster Management at Oxford Brookes in 2012, and now serves with the Reserves here in Swansea. A Mountain Leader, Carwyn leads overseas expeditions for young people when he’s not making beds here at Langland Cove.

Sarah grew up in Bristol but has been on the move ever since, living and working as an adventure travel writer in various UK and overseas locations including Japan, India, Central and South America, South East Asia and Australia. Also a Mountain Leader, expedition leader and long distance walker, Sarah tackled the GR10 in 2012 (from Atlantic to Mediterranean across the Pyrenees) before starting a family in 2013. She now attempts to balance running the business with family life (and sneaks off for long walks whenever she can).

Maelo arrived in true Welsh style on St David’s Day, March 2013.  Our second son Rowan was born in 2015 and Aneurin completed the boy hat trick in 2018. We all love living here by the sea, and feel incredibly blessed to call it home.
